This weekend. I am not entirely sure why I make plans, why I think there is any use in it. My weekends never quite turn out how I envision them. that doesn’t mean that they are bad. In fact, most often they are very good.
This weekend, though, I really wanted to just vegetate. Decompress. Not worry about the rest of anything. lounge in the pool and drink and read and plan what the next chapter holds. All things I haven’t had time to do in so very long.
What happened instead, while hectic and not entirely restful, was good and wonderful in its own right. I am glad that we were able to provide some assistance to others, that we could help.This family that I have married into? When someone needs help, they spring into action without hesitation or question.
I’m incredibly blessed to be married to Sweet Husband. We’ve not been married too terribly long. Just a little over a year. We’re fortunate that we have not had very many tiffs in our relationship. There haven’t been any terrible arguments or fights. We get a little testy with each other now and again, but it never lasts long. Both of us are people pleasers, and we have a very difficult time knowing that someone else is upset with us so we’re quickly making amends. I remain grouchy because that’s who I am, that’s what I do. But I made this commitment. It is what I wanted, and I wanted a really, really long to make it ; there’s not going to be much that is going to I’m not going to fight through to keep it strong.
Enough mushiness, I think.
This was another difficult week. I think that they are going to be tough weeks from here on out. That’s OK. Everything isn’t supposed to be easy.
I did make it to the doctor for one thing. I need to call the doctor about another. And make another appointment with last week’s doctor.
My goals for this week:
- Take the time to do the stuff I was going to do this weekend.
- Make a few more doctor’s appointments.
- Get the house clean.
- Do some sewing.
- Clean the house.
- Enjoy the new couch by watching movies with Sweet Husband.
- Take some walks.
- Take some pictures.
