This has been a lazy weekend. I have been in recovering all weekend.
I meant to make it Lowes yesterday to pick up a few new plants and do some work in the yard. We need to unload the mulch from the back of the truck and get ready for our camping trip this coming weekend. But it was not to be. I did a little shopping, but before I knew it, I was exhausted. I came home and took a nap because it was about all I could do to get home. So tired.
We had people over for dinner Saturday night, and while it was great to have people over and spend time with folks, it was exhausting at the same time. I have spent today doing almost nothing. We slept until 10:30, and I think the mot energy that I’ve expended is getting out to water the gardens.
I’m not sure what’s wrong with me.
I’m looking forward to a short, but intense week at work. I just have to make it through Wednesday and everything is good.
We’re planning a fantastic day on the beach for the Fourth. I’m going to make some kebobs and a pasta salad. We need to pick up some fireworks so we’re ready for the festivities that night. We’re looking forward to a great day. Last year was kind of just so-so in terms of the Fourth of July festivities, and we decided that this year would be different. And I’m ready for that. We’ve got the mixings for sangria ready to go. I’ve got magazines and books on my Nook. There’s plenty of sunscreen. There’s going to be plenty of food, and I think it’s going to be an outstanding time.
For this week, I have the following goals:
- Walk Monday – Thursday.
- Clear off my desk at work before leaving for vacation.
- Get enough rest.
- Clean the house before we leave on Friday.
- Get myself planned out for the new blogging challenge I’m undertaking starting tomorrow.
- Get a pedicure.
- Get the bills paid before we take off.
Right now I feel like it’s way past time for me to go to bed. So tired.
What are you excited for this coming week? And what was the best part of your weekend?
