Kat McNally’s prompt for yesterday (yes I’m still behind *sigh*) was
Please post your favourite picture of yourself from 2013, self-portrait or otherwise!
I originally misread that post and thought that she wanted us to take selfies yesterday, so that’s what I did. Right before we went out to a comedy show with Sweet Husband’s parents. Hair pulled back because of the constant mist and incredible humidity. Sweet Husband looked at me during lunch and said (very sweetly, of course), “Your hair sure is frizzy.” Yes, dear. Yes, I know. Which is why I pulled it back in the bun. I thought perhaps the bun was going to be a little messier than it turned out but that’s OK. I didn’t take the time to do a full face of make-up either. Just a bunch of mascara and some red lipstick. My husband said I was beautiful, so I suppose that’s all that matters.
At any rate, I went back and re-read the post and realized that we weren’t actually supposed to take a selfie last night – we were just supposed to post our favorite picture of ourselves. Oh. OK. Well. I’ve done a lot of that lately. Here (I really like those pictures taken the day after Thanksgiving). And here (that picture of Sweet Husband and I at Mardi Gras). And here (I love that picture of Sweet Husband and me. It’s my absolute favorite and that reminds me that I need to get it printed off and framed).
I’m not much for being in pictures because I’m usually taking them, and I don’t usually take a lot of selfies, although I’m trying to change that a bit.
So…a few more pictures of me. This one doesn’t technically count because it was taken on 12/21/12, but I love it. The girl who did my hair was a huge pain in my rear in my former job, but she was such a great girl. I’m glad she got herself together.
And then there’s this selfie took after some writing time had been concluded (I miss that little nose screw. I really want to re-pierce it, but it’s going to have to wait until summer so it has time to heal enough to stand up to the rigors of removing it each day for work. *sigh* And again with the red hair. I miss my red hair. I should have been born a redhead. *sigh*).
