Welcome to Friday! We’ve made it through another week! How has your week been? Good I hope. As I said last week, I’ve been occupied with moving. The good news is that we are all-in at the new house, and have been for almost a week now.
Nobody died! Go on and laugh, but you know how stressful moving is.
Did I mention that earlier tonight, our bulldogge decided to say hello to the neighbor’s dogs? By ramming through the chain link fence? Thankfully the neighbor’s dogs are submissive and didn’t challenge his alpha-male personality. But this means we are going to have to build that privacy fence much sooner than we anticipated. Hello another unexpected expense.
But the good news is that it is slowly coming together. The kitchen is almost put together (a few random things here and there). The bathrooms are done (or at least mine is). Most of the stuff is in place for our bedroom; the spare bedroom will come together tomorrow because SH’s daddy is coming down to help with yard work. I can almost park in the garage. Another week and everything will be whipped into shape, which is a good thing because we are having an Open House on the 4th – which was an excellent plan on our parts.
As much as I’d like to, I’m not quite ready to get back to my full posting and interacting schedule. I anticipate that won’t happen next week either, but the week after? I should be good to go.
I didn’t get a chance to get any new photos this week, so I’m bringing you pictures I took on Memorial Day. This set of photos will finish out my series of Mississippi Lighthouses, which started with the Broadwater Lighthouse, moved to the Ship Island Lighthouse and finished with the Biloxi lighthouse. These photos are of the Round Island Lighthouse.
One day soon I will teach myself how to remove things in the background of my photos (I’ve played with it before. I just need to practice), but today is not that day.
These photos were, as I said, taken on Memorial Day. Memorial Day on the Mississippi Gulf Coast was cloudy and rainy and really not the best of weather for taking pictures. In fact, when I was at the lighthouse, I was trying to balance my huge golf umbrella over me and my camera while trying to take some pictures. The rain wasn’t heavy, but it was persistent.
I hope y’all have had a good week. I miss you! And can’t wait to get back to fully participating with you!
Where I’m linking up today.
Photo Friday Link-Up
Thank you all for your participation last week! I can’t wait to catch up with you and see what all you have in store this week.
Last week our most viewed link belonged to Betty at Photographing New Zealand. What a stunning mountain shot! Doesn’t it just make you want to hop on a plane and go visit? Y’all love Betty’s images – she is frequently our number one or number two most clicked link!
Our last added link came from Toddlers on Tour and featured a trip to Sentosa Island, which looks like another place that I need to add to my list of have-to-go-sees! If you didn’t make it around to some of the folks who added their links later in the link-up, go take a look! There are always some incredible photos in those later links.
As always thank you for your participation! We are growing, and your spreading the word helps with that in so very many ways!
Now for this week’s link-up!
