Greetings, Friends! I hope you’ve had a good week, and that you were able to get out and get some fabulous shots since we were last together. Anything big happening in your life? Lots big happening here.
On Monday we closed on our house, and since then everything has been a mad dash to get out of the house we’ve rented for the last 3.5 years and into our NEW HOUSE. I don’t sleep much under the best of circumstances, but this week has kicked everything into overdrive, particularly the last two nights. I’m hoping that tomorrow will be the last time I walk through the door at 2019.
All of that to say that, unfortunately, I won’t be able to give your posts the attention you are used to getting. I hope that y’all step in and comment on posts and share them on your various social media outlets. I should be able to take a breath by Tuesday or so. At least that’s my hope.
Anyway. This week, I have photos from Marty Stuart’s Late Night Jam. Stuart has hosted the late night jam for the last 14 years. If you’re looking for a June destination, consider heading up to Nashville during CMA Fanfest week and check it out. The Jam begins at 10:00 and runs until 1:30 – 2:00 in the morning. The best part about it? You get to experience 3.5-4 hours of non-stop show. Now, I grew up with country music so the artists that are featured are right in my wheelhouse. However, if country isn’t your thing, it is still an amazing show.
The show this year featured Marty Stuart, his wife Country Music Hall of Famer Connie Smith, Country Music Hall of Famer Charley Pride, Emi Sunshine, The Bads (from New Zealand), Tommy Emmanuel (from Australia – total badass on the guitar), Eric Church, the Brothers Osborne, and Jimmy Webb as well as Carl Jackson and Orthophonic Joy (I want to know more about that project).
I don’t normally take my camera into concerts because I’ve been there, done that and found that it really takes away from my actual enjoyment of the show. This year, though, I took it with e and I’m glad I did. Enjoy!
If there was a blemish on the evening, it occurred during Charley Pride’s appearance. He made it through his first song “Crystal Chandeliers” beautifully and then launched into a new song…that he couldn’t remember the words to. It was painful and went on for what seemed forever. You could see Marty Stuart and the members of his ban looking for a way to help but unfortunately, because it was a new song, they couldn’t. As a consummate professional, though, Mr. Pride launched right into “Kiss an Angel Good Morning.”
Stuart’s wife Connie Smith is beginning to show her age, but she is still amazing when she sings “How Great Tho Art.” I think my favorite thing, though, is watching the way he looks at her. Even after almost 20 years – still deeply loves her; you can just tell.
Lots of folks only came to the show to see Eric Church. Like the women behind us, who couldn’t shut up the entire show and who were disappointed that Church only played 4 songs, only one of which was his own. Sorry girls.

And now we are on to our favorite part of the week – the link up! Last week, there were 30 different links! That is the most ever. I hope that means we are growing, and that y’all are finding value in our little community here. Please do share and encourage others to join us!
Last week’s most viewed link came from Kelly at Swimming in Sunshine. She brought us some glorious raptors – really stunning birds. If you missed her last week, check it out this week!
Our last link added came from Glimmer of Hope, who is, I believe, a first timer! If you didn’t get a chance to check her out, go on and head over now! She has a great photo of her son.
That brings us to this week. Please make sure you stop by and give some love to the other participants – we all appreciate it. I’ll be back in top form next week, so bear with me 😉
