Tuesday evening, I ventured out to the new Lighthouse Park in Biloxi with the Mississippi Gulf Coast Photography Club. I hadn’t been feeling well earlier that day (for a couple of days actually), so I didn’t really socialize too much – I didn’t want to spread anything if I was contagious, and I just didn’t feel much like interacting. Do you get that way? I totally do and it’s really hard to work myself out of that funk when it starts.
I shared some pictures from that shoot for Wordless Wednesday, and I have the rest of them for you today for Photo Friday.
Without further ado – this week’s photos!
Lighthouse Park is, of course, named for the Biloxi Lighthouse…which is right across the street. You may recall that I have a whole series of photos of the Lighthouse – taken from across the street.
Another shot of that weed! I really did like it.
(On another note – I really liked the portrait shots this week. Geez)
Another Spanish Moss draped Live Oak.
I took this one because of the resurrection fern. You know how you know it’s dry in the South? The resurrection ferns are brown and small. When it’s wet, the ferns will green up and branch out, making the oak tree seem alive with a soft green fur – rather than the crusty brown bark.
The real thing that fascinated me on this shoot was the agapanthus seed pods. I might have had to bring a few of the seed pods home with me because there are plenty of places in our yard where I could use some agapanthus plants.
And another shot of the lighthouse to close it out.
I took a few shots of that remind me, as I said last week that it has been almost 10 years since Hurricane Katrina, but I think I’ll save those for another post.
I hope y’all had a good week and are ready to make your way through another incredible set of photos that will be shared in this week’s link-up!
