Welcome to another edition of Photo Friday – the place where I come to share the photos from my Project 52 – See Mississippi! So far I’ve brought you photos from the Coast, and I’ve taken you to Meridian a few times so far in this project. This week we return to Meridian and to Merrehope, although I’m much more interested in the F.W. Williams home.
When you look up the F.W. Williams home, you get a much different image of the way it looks than the reality of it. It makes me wonder what happened to it, how it got to this point, and if there are plans for restoration.
As with the photos of the pansy-filled wheelbarrow I brought you, I was there are the right time – the sun was beginning to set and it provided absolutely gorgeous light.
The years have not been kind to the F. W. Williams home, making her appear to be the red-headed stepchild of the main attraction – Merrehope.
I find the peeling paint, the broken gingerbread, the battered boards to be much more interesting…particularly with the light streaming through.
Last week was the first week of my Photo Friday Link-Up, and I’m so glad to have had people join me! I can’t wait to see where this is going to go! Last week’s most-visited post was from Kathy at You’ll Shoot Your Eye Out – You Run…
And now it’s time for this week’s link-up! Come join us and share your amazing photos from this week! I can’t wait to see what caught your eye this week!
