Almost a month ago now, I participated in the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photo Walk in New Orleans. I met up with probably 40 other photographers outside of Jackson Square, near Cafe du Monde and in much smaller groups we made our way out into the French Quarter to take photos.
I have no idea what this place is, across the corner from the Rouses in the Quarter. But when I saw it, I knew I needed to take pictures of it. Because…just look at it. It is amazing and crumbly. That grouping of plants hanging there over the edge make me wonder because as you scan to the right and notice the broken shutters and general sense of decay – is it inhabited? Does someone live there? or has someone just decorated the balcony because that’s what you do in New Orleans and then walked away? Questions without answers.
