It’s Wednesday, which means that even though I’m participating in my 31 Days Project with The Nesting Place and am a part of Blogtoberfest 2013, I’m committed to continuing with Jamie Ridler’s Wishcasting Wednesday. I love that some times I get to use the same prompt for multiple purposes. 😉
This week’s prompt is
Wishcasting Wednesday: What Do You Wish to Clear?
Right now when I’m as exhausted as I can remember being in an extremely long time, the only thing I can think of is wanting to sleep. I want to clear away the things that are keeping me from being well-rested and able to do everything else that I want to get done.
I have forgotten how exhausting and time-consuming teaching is. Since I’ve started back in the classroom, although my classes are small, I’m just tired. I’m not overwhelmed by the teaching. I’m not overwhelmed by the difficult kids, and make no mistake they are difficult kids. But the constant making decisions, the constant weighing, the constant trying to decide what move to make next, the immediate adjustments…all of it leads to an exhaustion that is soul-deep. I’m as tired as tired gets. It’s all I can do to get out of bed in the morning.
I don’t get up and write. I don’t make coffee. I don’t take photos. Because I’m so very, very tired.
I’m not sure that even makes a whole lot of sense.
When I’m not so tired…I want to clear the surplus of junk that lives in my house.
How about you? What do you wish to clear?
