Because there are documented benefits to a regular practice of gratitude, I take Tuesdays to get in touch with all the things that are blessings in my life.
This week, I’m thankful for the following:
- Sweet Husband. He’s always on the list. The last few weeks have been increasingly difficult and stressful for me, and he is my rock. Without his patient understanding, I don’t know where I’d be. I shudder to think. I do not ever want to take him or our marriage for granted. For all the little things he does and for all the big things he does, I am more grateful than I can even begin to express
- Friends. Making friends as an adult is a hard thing, but I’m grateful for those that are a part of my life. Again, during these rough times, I don’t know what I would do without the encouragement of both old and new friends.
- Opportunity. Every day I have the opportunity to be better. Some days it doesn’t feel like it but every day is a new opportunity.
- Grace. Things work out the way they are supposed to, and it is good to be reminded of that.
