Last week, I brought you the first set of photos from our Second Annual Mardi Gras Extravaganza with the Strong family at the corner of St. Charles and Commons. This week, I’ve got another round of pictures for you from that lovely Saturday before Fat Tuesday.
One of the things that I love most about living so close to New Orleans is that we get to experience her in all of her glorious wonder whenever we want to. We’re supposed to be headed over this weekend for some fun with out-of-town friends, although that may be in jeopardy right now as the weather is supposed to be dreadful. While New Orleans is a ton of fun, I’m not sure that it is a ton of fun in a downpour. And I certainly won’t be capturing new images if it’s pouring.
In the meantime you’ll just have to enjoy these photos from Mardi Gras, and as an aside – if you’ve not been to Mardi Gras and want to experience it, make plans to come join us! There are plenty of parades that gear up beginning the month before the actual day of Mardi Gras and the parades roll all across the Gulf Coast – from south Louisiana to Pensacola, FL. You can catch any number of good times, and we’d love to show you what a parade is supposed to be about.
