Down here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, there are two kinds of people: Parrotheads and those who haven’t yet learned of our native son’s history on the Coast. We are the former, and two weekends ago, we made the ultimate Pascagoula Run, attending a free Jimmy Buffett show on the beach in honor of the city naming a bridge in his honor. It was a great day for a show, even if it was hotter than Hades, and I’m excited to bring you a little slice of it for Photo Friday.
I don’t have much commentary for you today – I’m typing one-handed after my recent surgery and not feeling too hot so it’s a bare bones post this week.
Did I mention it was hot? Because it was unbearably hot.
The Fruit Cakes were still out, though.
All the boats were out too, and I am reminded that we could so use a boat.
& of course there were serendipitous meeting with old friends.
After three hours of waiting in the heat, the man of the hour appeared with another of Mississippi’s incredibly talented native sons – Mac McAnally.
Great afternoon on the Coast and hats off to the city of Pascagoula for putting on a very smoothly run operation!
