Welcome to another edition of Photo Friday! I hope that y’all have had a good week. It’s been busy here, and it feels like I’m meeting myself coming and going, but I am hopeful that things will soon even out and I can focus on a few of my intentions for the year. One of my huge goals this year is take my photography to the next level, but I haven’t quite found that groove yet. Soon, though. Perhaps even this weekend with a trip to New Orleans and an extra day to contemplate how to best arrange my schedule. In the meantime, I have brown pelicans for you.
We will just ignore the fact that there’s gigantic billboard behind Mr. Pelican’s head. He was just perfect and looking at me. Couldn’t resist him.
This guy, however, was much better. I love the way those back feathers are curling up.
I took these pictures with my 50-200 lens, which I really am not the fondest of. Perhaps because I don’t use it very often, but I find it really difficult to use. There is a lot of shake and it’s very hard to keep things in focus. I find myself taking shot after shot that comes out terribly blurry. I used it this time because I couldn’t get close enough to these guys at Kremer Landing in order to capture them.
With trying to establish new, healthy habits in the new year, that’s not leaving a lot of time for photography. I cannot wait for the days to get longer so there is enough time after work to do all the things I want to do. This whole working for a living thing is cramping my style!
I hope y’all have had a great week and are ready for a lovely weekend. I’m looking forward to an opportunity to breath a bit and get myself pulled together and organized…maybe finally post about my Word of the Year and intentions for 2016!
Photo Friday Link-Up
Welcome to another edition of the Photo Friday link-up! Can y’all believe that it is been almost a year since this thing started up? I can’t believe it! Gonna have to plan some sort of celebration for when we do hit our anniversary! As always, thank y’all for your support; this community wouldn’t be what it is without you!
Last week our most visited link came from Betty at Photographing New Zealand, sharing a view of the Rangitikei River.
Our last added link from the previous week came from Cath@Home sharing some lovely snow bells along with an apt quote. If you missed it, go check it out!
I hope that you have had more time for photography than I have this past week, and I can’t wait to see what you have to share with us!
