Last week I brought you the daffodils. This week, I am waiting for the azaleas. I could have taken pictures of the neighbor’s azaleas – she has some full-on blooms – but for this edition of (Almost) Wordless Wednesday, I didn’t feel quite right pilfering her beauty. Mine will be here soon enough.
This time of year is one of my favorites – the daffodils are still in bloom, the azaleas are beginning to bloom, and the wisteria will be here in short order.
They are almost ready. I’ve watched them closely the last few weeks – watched the tiny, tight buds begin to emerge and then gradually get bigger and loser, showing hints of the colors that will soon cover the bushes.
The azaleas are so beautiful while they are here. Their span is brief but gorgeous. I look forward to them every year, and I mourn their passing when their brief season is done.
Where I’m linking up today.
