This month I’m participating in Blogtoberfest 2013 as well as the 31 Day Project. There are a list of prompts and possible topics, but I’ve only been drawing on them when I’m not sure what else to write about. Y’all know that Mondays are typically Mindful Mondays, and I had something ready to roll out for today, but as I was pursuing the topics from last year’s Blogtoberfest, I came across this one.
It is perfect for today because in my classroom (feels a little odd to say that again), we were working with 6 Word Memoirs as a way to review for the 9 week’s test that begin tomorrow. And truth be told, it’s a way for me to begin to know my students a little bit.
I’ve used 6 Word Memoirs before in my classes, and I’ve written an untold number of them for myself. Today I wrote one on the fly for my students, and this was what came out:
Always wandering; finally found my home.
I could say a lot more about that; I could write another 6 Word Memoir for you. But in it’s simplicity, this memoir is perfect. It is the truth of my soul and the joy of my heart.
What six words brings your life into sharp focus? Or even just hazy focus 😉
