Today was a great day for a road trip. I left home under warm, blue skies, the iPhone plugged into the stereo, a cold drink at the ready.
And after three hours I was in Jackson, at a girlfriend’s ready to head out for a walk/hike to the remnants of a WWII POW camp under a grey, drizzly sky.
We hiked the mile and a half back to the remnants of the camp in the drizzle, sliding around in the mud, watching the doggies race along the path and through the woods. It was a great way to spend an afternoon.
